Matthews Park is a nine hole golf course that is located on the north edge of Clinton. The park is open year round to the public with daily operating hours of 7:30 am to 7:30 pm. There are fees collected at this park. Two accessible restroom facilities are available. Golf carts are also available for those who are unable to walk the course. While the ground is owned by the City, the golf course is leased by an independent party who operates and maintains the grounds and facility. The park provides a valuable asset to the community in providing an inexpensive opportunity to golf as well as provides a large amount of open space in the park system.
